dogs, but more like people. They

French Bulldogs of the Past

The French would like to claim the French Bulldogs as their breed, but others
countries would have to disagree. The first French bulldog to be sited in the
United States was in 1896 at the Westminster's Kennel Club Show. American
travelers interested in the breed began traveling to France to bring the French
Bulldogs to the United States.
